Melissa

I am a recent CU Boulder graduate with a degree in Communication, and I currently work for Sunrise Senior Living in North Boulder.  I stumbled upon Front Range Hippotherapy while searching craigslist, a common writer’s block technique during my senior year at CU.  I can’t believe it has already been over a year since I first started volunteering at FRH!  This experience has not only been rewarding to help others, but it has also become therapeutic for me!

I grew up in Durango, CO where my love for horses began as a child.  I was always hanging around my friend’s houses and offering to do their daily barn chores.  After three years of college, I was finally reconnected with my childhood passion of horse handling, while a new passion for helping others was discovered during my time at FRH.  I have been completely inspired by the miracles that happen here, so much so that I am currently starting my journey to acquire a Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology.  I look forward to volunteering every Monday as a day of relaxation and fun.
